Carmel Valley, San Diego, CA – Love to Dance, Inc. is off to a great fall 2008-2009 season. With fresh views and a driving passion their program is growing by leaps and bounds. Just voted #1 dance studio in Carmel Valley, Del Mar, and Rancho Santa Fe - the Director, Mindy Love Watkins, seems to have a quiet confidence about her program.
Many people have noticed a difference in Mindy’s diverse dance background of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Modern because she is teaching classes in all of these styles. Mindy states “I have had many positive comments from parent’s that come to our studio and see that I teach so many different ages, levels, and styles. I guess I never wanted to just learn Ballet or just learn Tap. I wanted to be a well rounded dancer. Some studios require their student’s to take Ballet if they want to dance other styles. At Love to Dance, Inc. the dancers actually want to take Ballet and I love to hear them say Ballet is so fun here!”
Love to Dance, Inc. intelligently follows the San Dieguito School calendar. The student dancers start classes one week after school begins. They have their recital in the beginning of June and the students finish dance classes before summer begins. Mindy states, “I have really tried to think of us as a dance family and I don’t want to interrupt any ones vacation with a dance recital. In regards to our dance recital it is choreographed with no stops and intermissions. It flows easily and lasts about one hour.” It appears this kind of thinking has taken Love to Dance a long way in a short time period. The do not charge registrations fees, purposely minimize class sizes, and the dance gear and recital package are offered at a very reasonable cost. “We are really trying to be your neighborhood dance studio, Mindy states.”
